MIAMI HOTEL
This project aims to produce a modernized hotel renovation and redesign of the Miami Hotel in the Nana neighborhood of Bangkok. The Miami hotel has a deep-rooted history in Bangkok, being the first hotel to be constructed in the district in 1965, named in honor of the first Thai Miss. Universe contestant which was hosted in Miami at the time. Our design reintroduces the Miami hotel as a 90-key hotel that has the intrinsic essence of it’s 60s/70s Miami roots expressed in a modernized up-to-date form of architecture. With this design, we aim to reignite the Miami hotel’s presence in the Nana district as one of the most trendy and luxurious hotels. We aim to maximize efficiency by re-arranging the floorplan of each room to produce a more spacious feeling for the inhabitants. This would involve the rearrangement of furniture and fixtures in a manner that produces more free movement for the inhabitants within the space. The building will also be retrofitted with more efficient water systems, electrical appliances, and security systems. All materials used in the design are carefully selected to produce the desired aesthetic effect while simultaneously being cost-effective and sustainable. Construction and investment consulting were also provided by our firm to the owners.
